Allison first started her journey at The Pole Room Highett as a student, her infectious energy and graceful dance flow always left everyone wondering … why isn’t she teaching?! So that’s exactly what she decided to do! Allison’s classes are always full of laughter, heel clacks and music that we have never really heard but absolutely love every time. Her favourite part of teaching is seeing the joy on someones face when they nail a trick they have been struggling with (it really is the best feeling!) One of Allison’s proudest moments was placing as first runner up in The Pole Room’s annual show case Shine – we can’t wait until the next time she is on stage!
Music I’m Loving Now
My favourite artists growing up were Beyonce, Rihanna and Britney Spears… the ultimate trio! Nowadays I gravitate towards strong beats with lots of soft, flowy vocals. I love finding new songs to introduce to people, in class I’ll be playing songs that you’ve probably never heard before! The Pussy Cat Dolls never fail to get me on the dance floor, I just love to dance and can’t imagine a life without it!
