A pole competition built for our students. A show built for everyone.
SHINE is The Pole Room's annual student pole competition. Our students create their own solo routine, audition at their home studio, and the top performers in each level go through to the Finals on stage at The Round theatre.
Winning matters. But SHINE is about much more than who takes home a trophy. What you’re really watching is someone step onto a stage, put themselves out there and find out what they’re capable of. Some took their first pole class last year. Some have been training with us for years. Every one of them started with nothing more than an idea and built their routine from scratch.
Buy TicketsBeginner through to advanced, split into three level categories, so you'll see both first-year and experienced students on the same night.
Every performer picks their own music, concept and costume, and builds the routine themselves. No two routines are alike.
Nobody is handed a Finals spot. Every performer auditioned in front of a judging panel first.

“After my first pole class I knew I would be back.”
It was challenge for me to physically because I was so weak, i could barley grip onto the pole... I'm learning to love myself, which is really exciting.
